The Wild Cooperative is a 16-acres of land in a lush Smith Fork Creek valley outside of Crawford in the western Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The land offers pristine mountain year-round and seasonal creek waterfronts, southernly gently sloping growable land, good gravity-fed irrigation as well as hydroelectric rights. The land has access to BLM, National Forest, and West Elk Wilderness with abundant wildlife, diverse habitat, and dark skies, yet it is only 15 miles from Paonia, Colorado. The Wild Cooperative is a land sharing LLC and an education site for regenerative living skills. The Wild Cooperative is designed to support three residences with two already built and operating. A percentage in the LLC offers approximately 1 acre of buildable land as well as 13 acres of shared landscape. The available space is perfect for building a sustainable natural home, such as an earthship, off-grid or grid-tied with utilities available at the county road (there are still no building codes in our county).
